Evening all! I am BACK in Louisiana. Crazy amount of travel lately! I literally live out of a suitcase. it’s very odd. Anyway, I am back, Bobby is back on the MS coast for work tomorrow and I will see him again Friday.
Our house is already coming along and it is feeling more real! I haven’t actually seen it yet but Bobby went Friday and today and they are moving very fast which, if you are from the south, you know is weird. We tend to do a lot of things a lot slower, so this is a pleasant surprise!
Here are a couple of before and after Friday and today shots for comparison. They cleared the lot:

a few more from today….
Yay! Now I just need to go out there myself and see it and I think it will feel even more real. Woo hoo!!!
In fitness news, I am hoping to go for an easy run tomorrow. I am still icing, rolling, etc. so hopefully I will be ok on this run. I NEED to be ok on this run or 16 Saturday will not be pretty.
I hope everyone has a great night!!!
QOTD: Have you ever built a house? Did you enjoy it?

That’s so exciting!! My family built a house when I was in grade school, and it was such a fun experience. It was sad though, when my dad got a promotion and we had to move away 3 years later. 😦

bummer moving out of “your” house when you were the ones that built it. my parents has to do that to and its weird going by there with other people living in it!

Looking good! Yes, we built a house but a tract home. Not nearly as fun as what you are doing. Be sure you take good pics at every stage. It is fun to take them from the exact same spot each time so you can see how it progresses like time lapse photography.

Glad your house is coming along! How exciting! I never built a house, but I watched my inlaws take 2 years to build their house. That is all 😉

Building a house is so exciting! I sort of have a half-built home. I inherited a plot of land but the town rules are you MUST build something within 8 years or the two vacant lots (1 mine, 1 my sisters) will become 1 lot. So every 8 years my dad has to do something on the lot. Right now we are up to a foundation with a first floor shell. Ryan and I live in Boston but plan to move home to our “house” someday. We will probably start building for real in the next 4-5 years. I can’t wait tho. New houses are so exciting! I’m really excited for you guys! Homes down south are beautiful!!
